Vibrant Health Advocates – Caldera is a community organisation in the most literal sense: it depends on the community around it to function. There is a genuine role for you here.
Whether you are an individual who wants to give time, a local business looking to make a meaningful difference, or a grant-making body interested in early-intervention health work with young people, there is a genuine role for you here.
Everything you contribute — time, money, expertise or connection — flows directly into the lives of young people in Carnoustie and across Angus who are navigating one of the most significant transitions of their lives.
We are a lean, locally-rooted organisation. When you give us a morning of your time, it turns into a session that stays with a young person for years. When you fund a place on one of our programmes, you are not paying for administration — you are paying for a workshop that a teenager in Arbroath will remember the first time they book their own GP appointment, or advocate for themselves at work.
Talk to usWe are flexible and happy to talk about what works for you. There is no minimum commitment — what matters is that the contribution is genuine and the connection is real.
We train and support workshop facilitators, peer mentors and session assistants throughout the year, with a particular need ahead of our August summer intensive. If you have a background in health, education, youth work, finance or employment — or if you’re simply someone who grew up in Angus and wants to give back — we’d love to hear from you.
Express interestAs a SCIO, our funding comes from trusts, individual donors and local business supporters — and every contribution is used entirely within our programmes. A gift of £30 covers the materials for one young person’s place on our Launchpad Life Skills series; £150 funds a full peer mentor training day. Every pound stays in the communities we serve.
Donate nowLocal employers and further-education providers can partner with us to co-design Speak Up content that reflects the actual environments their new recruits will enter — making our training sharper and signalling to young people that the adults they’re heading towards genuinely care. Partnership takes many forms; we are flexible and happy to talk.

As a SCIO, every penny raised stays in the communities we serve. No shareholder. No surplus. Just young people and the tools they need.
Every financial contribution to Caldera is converted directly into workshop time, materials and facilitation. Here’s a guide to what different levels of giving make possible:
